Periodic inspection report . What is it?

Under current legislation all caravans over 3yrs old must have a current certificate of compliance with regard to the electrical installation in your caravan/motorhome (caravans under 3 yrs old have a manufacturer supplied certificate).This legislation has been about for many years but swept under the carpet by the manufacturers.
There has recently been a big push to comply with the law therefore a lot of training has been done by dealers, mobile engineers and holiday sites.
You may be asked for a current PIR when you arrive on site and failure to provide one may result in you not being allowed to use the sites hook-up facilities.

Gem Caravan Care are pleased to announce that we have undertaken the training , invested in the equipment and are certified by CITO (caravan industry training ) to carry out the inspections required and issue PIR`s

Gem Caravan Care are certified to ACOP`s. The required qualification to work on LPG gas systems in caravans.Again we have invested in the state of the art equipment that allows us to diagnose any issues with your gas appliances. The customer is also presented with a printout of each appliances performance for their records

We have further invested in the latest battery condition meter, damp meter and have our own unique road light testing kit capable of testing 12n12s (black/grey) and the new 13 pin systems. However, it is not all technology, we still use the traditional methods of sight, sound, smell and a dose of reality given that some caravans arent in their first flush of youth but loved nonetheless
